Tipping - Tipping is generally not a way of life in Singapore. As most entertaining related establishments like hotels, pubs, restaurants levy a 10% service charge, it is common not to tip when at such establishments.
Smoking - It is against the law to smoke under air-conditioning areas like shopping centers, cinemas, public transport systems (like taxis, MRT, bus), restaurants etc. It is however, not prohibited (after hours applies in certain establishments) in places like pubs, discos, karaoke bars, and some nightspots. It would be wise to check with the establishments whether smoking is allowed just to be sure.
Littering - You may want to note that littering is strictly prohibited (which is why Singapore has the reputation of being one of the cleanest city in the world!) and you may face fines of up to S$1,000.00. Litter bins are conveniently located almost at every corner you go, so do use them.

How to call overseas while in Singapore
|
To dial international numbers while you are in Singapore, just remember
to add "001" followed by the country code of the country you are calling,
and followed by the area code (if applicable) and then the number you are
calling.
If you encounter any problems, just call service 100 (dial 100) for operator
assistance.

Electricity

220-240V AC
If your appliance is using 110-120V DC, you can actually request from the hotel
you are staying at for the step-down transformer. Most hotels should have this
transformer available.
If you need to be absolutely sure, visit one of the electronic shops when you
touch down in Singapore (at the Changi International Airport) to purchase one
suitable for your needs. You can also purchase it in town (cheaper too!).

Visitors from the following countries require a Visa to enter Singapore:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Commonwealth of Independent States:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova,
Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Lebanon,
Libya, People's Republic of China, Syria & Yemen.
Visitors from the following countries require a Visa to enter Singapore, except
for visitors with Diplomatic and Official passports:
Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Laos*, Myanmar, Tunisia, Vietnam.
* Laos diplomatic/Official Passport Holders are only exempted from visa
requirements for a stay of up to 30 days.
Visitors from the following countries require a Visa to enter Singapore,
except for visitors with Diplomatic passports for a stay of up to 30 days:
Cambodia
Those holding Hong Kong Documents of Identity, Macau SAR Travel Permit,
Refugee Travel Documents issued by Middle-East countries and Palestinian
Authority Passports will also require a Visa.
Visitors in Transit:
Some visitors of the above list may transit in Singapore without a visa provided:-
they hold a valid passport with at least six months validity;
have firm booking and entry facilities to their next destination, and;
continue their journey within the permitted transit hours of arrival to any destination outside Singapore.
